Google finally announced the Android 11 /Android R release schedule. The first Android 11 preview build for developers of released on February 2020. This was for supported Google Pixel smartphones (excluding the first-generation). The coronavirus pandemic affected future OS releases and performances. Google LLC shared two key milestones that are based on the current status and the progress of Android 11 development.
• Final Release Candidate (FRC) will be released on July 6, 2020.
• Public Android Open Source Project (AOSP) will be released on September 8, 2020.

Android 11 /Android R comes with a new "recent apps" UI and the ability to undo an inadvertent closing of a recent app. Android 11 features include support of 5G networking standards, enhancements for foldable smartphones, project mainline (servicing of system components via Google Play Store); it also supports STIR/SHAKEN call authentication and stronger enforcement of the "scoped storage" system.
